Get down to some sweet bongo beats by listening to the newly announced Ape Out live gameplay vinyl album.
One of last year’s indie hits Ape Out is the next game in line to get a vinyl release thanks to the well-known sellers at iam8bit. The two vinyl package will include the soundtrack from all four albums from the game including Subject 4, High Rise, Fugue, and Adrift along with a digital download.
We’re stoked to be bringing Ape Out’s dynamically-generated soundtrack to vinyl. This first ever “LIVE” gameplay album was conducted via playthrough by developers @gabecuzzillo and @mattboch. The result is a frenetic jazz experience unlike anything else. https://t.co/m5h3lsogTL pic.twitter.com/4SR2GZZyIe

For those unaware, Ape Out has a unique soundtrack due to its implementation of improvisation depending on what you are doing in the game. So to a degree, the soundtrack is never the same each time you play. Therefore, the vinyl will include the first-ever “live” gameplay album which will be played by Gabe Cuzzillo, the creator and developer of the game. It seems like the most official version it could possibly be if you ask me.
Not only does Ape Out have a fantastic soundtrack it also is a genuinely great game. Last month, Ape Out walked away with the BAFTA in Audio Design so for those vinyl collectors out there, maybe this one is worth checking out. Pre-orders for the vinyl go up tomorrow morning at 10 am PST on the official iam8bit site for $29.99 with a release window set for quarter three of this year. For future information, you can follow iam8bit on Twitter.
