This is definitely great news for Square Enix. Personally speaking, as a gamer who focuses on Japanese games, it’s always great to see one get the sales recognition it deserves too.
As you already know, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a new take on the PS1 JRPG from 1997, a beloved game as it was the first JRPG contact for many players around the world. This is a huge remake project by Square Enix which will span at least one more game. Tetsuya Nomura recently mentioned he’d like to launch the sequel as soon as possible, and make it even better as this first game. Be sure to check out our pretty good review of Final Fantasy VII Remake if you haven’t yet. Like many games right now, it’s also experiencing a Summer Sale. You can check out the details on the game’s official site.
The PS4 exclusivity of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will end on April 2021 and the game will be announced on PC when that happens. It’ll probably come to Xbox too but that one’s just a guess.
